Update September 2010

The big news our lead CAD designer Shane has volunteered to put the 1/4 scale Olympia 2b together and blog the construction. Have a look here..

Over the past few months Shane has also turned his talent to the design of a 5 meter ASK14 Motor Glider this project is nearing completion with Henryk offering to build and blog the construction.

The other great news is our new 5 meter Duster BJ-1B project. Bengt Jansson the original designer and Bob Neizke from the USA have developed a great set of plans based on the fullsize aircraft.

We have a bit of work to go to ensure all the fullsize details are incorporated where possible in the kit, a sneak preview.

Update June 2010

With the release of our new rcplans webisite we are now in a much better position to market our products.

The LO-100 has taken a back seat while development effort was put into the Olympia 2b, this project is near completion with a build in progress.  You you see from the pictures on the project site, the framing of the kit will be fast. The planking or the skinning no doubt will take time. A great winter project.

CNCWorkbench has had some minor enhancements and with opening of our new forum I am hoping it will provide a great value for money option. After all GCODE is the industry standard. Its free give it a go.

Update Feb 2010

  • The Duster group continues to make progress with more models completing their first maiden's. Check out Barry's finished model.
  • The Lo100 has not made much progress, but will be back on the bench for some small adjustment in the next two weeks. Hope to have a completed kit by end of June.

Update January 2010

  • Well the Lo100 is slowly coming along, the wings are designed and are currently being constructed
  • CNCWorkbench has been released as freeware for a trial period, a new yahoo group has been created, check it out

Update December 2009

The Duster group continues to make progress; canopies are now available.

The big news for the month was Bengt Jansson the  principle designer of the full size Dusters made contact.  Ben has been nothing short of marvelous and has made available some CAD drawings and photos of the original drawings.  He has suggested a 1:2.5 scale, which would give a 5.2 meters wingspan. This size will enable a more realistic build and would also make a very realistic flying model. So with the help from Ben we will start on this development early in the New Year. Here is a sample of the detail Ben has offered.

Discovered that the owners Peter and Mal of the real (Eagle) Duster at Bendigo have modified the canopy on to allow for more headroom. This can be seen in the picture below.

The Lo100 is getting closer with the tails surfaces competed and the main wing ready for construction.
